I connect to the AP from Windows - no third-party utility - it negotiates for a couple of seconds, then reports that it can't connect. Thanks for the reply - but you're misunderstanding the issue: I do not get the option to input the credentials in the first place. I am HUGELY grateful to anyone who can help! :banghead: I am DESPERATE to get this fixed - I need to be able to use the machine at the park over the summer - but Samsung's support is useless and Broadcom don't seem to have any consumer-facing bit of the world.

Unfortunately, I'm really not savvy with this stuff (background is software analysis/coding) so don't even really know how to describe this kind of 'authentication', which makes it very difficult to present the problem back to the vendor. Connecting my iPhone and iPad, no problem - the attempt to connect pops up a dialogue as per the attached image on the iPhone, so I can input name and account details, but it inspires nothing to happen on the Samsung at all - it just reports that it can't connect. Unfortunately, I've encountered the issue again today on the newly installed WiFi at a holiday park where we have a static caravan.

Eventually worked around that by getting one of the network gurus to manually install the certificate on thie machine except this one: It never got as far as asking for them. I first encountered the problem on my work WiFi, which requires acceptance of a certificate after input of my AD credentials - which was fine on my iPad, iPhone, every other machine I saw someone try it with.

Drivers are reported as being up to date. I don't think the drivers changed at that point - and it's always had this issue in any case. The machine came with Windows 7, which I upgraded to 8 Pro whilst it was cheap. It fails completely, however, whenever I try to connect to a network that requires me to enter some other credentials, or accept a certificate or somesuch - it just doesn't do what all other machines seem to, but advises it can't connect.
